Rust on the battery tray never really goes away if you’re using the factory tray. It’s welded directly to the inner fender, trapping moisture between the two layers of metal with nowhere to go — so it’s only a matter of time before it rots through. We’ve solved that problem, along with a couple other headaches the factory tray brings with it.

Why this tray is different:

• 12-gauge steel construction — significantly heavier than the thin OE stamping, built to resist rust rather than invite it

• Bolt-on design, no welding required to the vehicle itself — self-aligning mounting points make installation straightforward, even solo
