This is one of our best selling items!!

Many Scouts with original bumpers have rear frame crossmembers that are very visibly bent when exposed. This is no bueno! Our retrofit rear frame crossmember support is designed to fit OVER your factory-made rear crossmember with very little modification, providing extra reinforcement when towing or adding a heavy-duty rear bumper.

It is not uncommon for the original OE rear frame crossmembers to come off even under light load applications, due to the limited attachment points to the frame rails and the original welds that can be sub par.  In addition the body mount locations commonly bend downward due to the lack of support.  The Protect your Scout!!

This part is made specifically for the person that has a painted or powder coated chassis and doesn't want to do full surgery on cutting off and welding on a new rear crossmember, but still wants the same protection as a new heavy duty one.  This part also increases the thickness of your crossmember to 1/4" steel and provides an additional anchor point for your original rear frame crossmember to bolt or weld to your frame rails (As show in product pictures).

Note: This is a DIY product requiring you to fit it to your Scout and fully weld.  Never the less you will be more than pleased with the  benefits and the value this item will add to your Scout.
