Fully baffled

Steeper departure angle for less chance of damage off road

Cleverly built-in 1” lift for Scouts with a body lift, giving more ground clearance

Inspection hole for each internal compartment to ensure proper internal tank coating

Fits 1971-1980 Scout II or Traveler with original rear frame crossmember and next forward crossmember with no modifications to it

Your Kit Includes

3 extra thick steel flanges for fuel pump, fuel sender and inspection port

5 x ¼” NPT forged steel weld-in tank flanges

3 x ¼” threaded plugs for tank vents and drain

3 fuel pump, sender and inspection port covers to allow for pressure testing your tank after welding

1 inspection port gasket

1 filler neck with cap for tank pressure testing after welding

10/32 hardware for pressure testing your tank after welding

¼” NPT tank valve for pressure testing your tank after welding

2 ¼” barbed nipples for tank vents.

Extra Considerations

f you don't have a 1” body we suggest you purchase separately our 1" Fuel Tank Drop Kit to clear the underside of your Scout’s original ride height body—OR you will need to cut and reposition mounting brackets 1” higher on the tank. If you choose to cut and reposition your brackets rather than buying OP-1008 kit, you will NOT be able to lift your fuel tank with a future body lift and you will NOT be able to bolt on our skid plates.
